Are you interested in taking your knitting skills to the next level? Have you mastered the basics (knit, purl) but feel less sure about other knitting techniques? Would you like to build your knitting skills and confidence in a safe and supportive environment?
Across two sessions, this course will cover a range of techniques, building your knowledge and skills. We’ll choose from a range of methods for casting on/off (including techniques such as provisional cast on and tubular cast on/off) and talk about when each is appropriate. We’ll cover techniques for increasing, including short rows. And depending on the interests of the group, we’ll cover other skills as well.
- Students to supply their own materials – up to 50 grams (100 metres) of 8ply yarn (recommend light coloured yarn, suggest using leftover yarn where possible); small quantity of smooth 4ply yarn in different colour (for provisional cast on)
- Students to supply own needles – 4mm (recommend circular needles)
- Students to bring a crochet hook – suggest 4mm or similar
