Classes

Private lessons can cover any topic you like, from how to rescue the project that you're stuck on, to stranded knitting, to beginners knitting or crochet.
We teach our private lessons Monday to Saturday between 10am and 5pm. Excluding Public Holidays.
Private lessons are charged at $50 for an hour and are charged at $25 in half hour increments after that.

Join this beginners’ knitting workshop to learn a new crafty skill that will give you lots of comfort and cosiness.
Designed for those with no prior knitting experience, this workshop will introduce you to knitting and get you started on your very first knitting project. We will cover the basic stiches and techniques and create a sampler cowl project. All materials will be provided, including comprehensive notes.

The beyond the basics workshop is a perfect follow-on for those who’ve completed the beginners’ knitting workshop. It’s also a great option for knitters who want to brush up on their skills, learn new techniques and pick up some tips.
This workshop will give you a safe environment to try new techniques including stitch combinations, increasing / decreasing and techniques for casting on and off. We’ll cover key knowledge to help in choosing patterns and building confidence for your own knitting adventures.

Materials: Customers can bring 50g (approx. 130m-150m) 5ply or 8ply yarn and assortment of needles
Making your knitting fit largely comes down to gauge and yarn selection. In this workshop Get gauge / Swap it around we’ll explore how to understand gauge and the relationship to the knitted fabric and fit.
We’ll also experiment with a variety of yarns to understand how you can “swap” yarns and use gauge to confidently experiment with yarn choice in your knitting.

Have you been wanting to knit a sweater and not sure where to start? This Sweater Clinic is the perfect place to come for the confidence to knit a whole sweater.
This is a knit clinic, where you have the freedom to bring your own pattern choice and yarn to a group workshop where our friendly knitting tutor will help you cast on and get underway.
There’ll be lots of tips and advice available, and the support of other participants. This will be a social and supportive environment, where you can bring the pattern you REALLY want to make and over two sessions get your project well underway.

Have you wanted to knit brioche, but not sure how? Our basic brioche workshop introduces you to the basics of brioche knitting as you knit a brioche sampler.
Suitable for those with some knitting experience, we’ll cover the key brioche stitches and techniques in a supportive environment.
