Sunspun Renovation

Sunspun has been serving the community of handcrafters for many decades in Canterbury, Victoria and we hope to continue to do so for many years to come. 

We want to enhance your experience at Sunspun, so there will be ongoing renovation works being done throughout 2025. 

The new layout will increase our retail floor space, there will be a new dedicated workshop / social events room. We will be introducing Sunspun Wardrobe with a fitting room for customers try on knitted garment samples for seasonal styling inspirations. We will be utilising a new office area to expand our online order processing and digital marketing capabilities.

Inventory Levels 🧶

Due to the renovation, our inventory levels will be low and there is limited opportunity for us to replenish stock over the coming months. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your support and patience during this time.

 

Progress Updates 🛠️

April 2025

• Phase 2 renovations works will begin shortly, with focus on further lighting and electrical works, and a new exterior shop signage.
• An opportunity came up for us to occupy an additional building behind our store. Therefore we re-strategized our renovations (subject to council approval), we will design our workshop space in this new building as it will enable greater use of facilities and deliver a more relaxing environment for everyone to enjoy.

March 2025

• New customer fitting room and online orders processing room completed. 
• Installation of wall shelving and floor display setups underway in a new section of the store.

February 2025

• Front section of the shop is now open. Major works almost completed in the first phase of renovation, some works are delayed in the back section for workshop, coffee/tea station and fitting room spaces.
  
• Our store will open to customers whilst we continue these works with minimal disruptions and where possible outside business hours.

December 2024

• Canterbury store is closed for renovation from 4pm 20th December 2024 to February 2025.
• Online Shop remains open, with only delivery option available. 
• Processing of online orders will resume in early January 2025. Please allow extra processing time for online orders as we will be shipping only once a week on Mondays.
• No pick-up service during the renovation period.

October 2024

• We paused our collection for KOGO from 28th October.
• Announcement of Shop Renovation
• Our regular Wednesday Sit and Knit paused from 1 November till 2025.
• Our Private Classes paused from 1 November till 2025
