Introduction to Cables & Bobbles

Date: Saturday 17th October
Time: 1 pm - 4 pm
Location: Sunspun Makers Loft* (rear of shop - 13 Delany Close, Canterbury)

Want to learn more about knitting cables and bobbles, but don’t want to commit to a full garment until you feel more confident? Our Cables & Bobbles class will introduce you to the core elements of textured knitting. You’ll get to practise making cables and learn how to read and follow charts. You’ll see first-hand how different cables can be created and the endless possibilities of combining cable designs. We’ll also cover making bobbles – these can be used with or without cables for another way to add texture to your knitting.
This class is suitable for anyone with base level knitting skills (knit, purl).

Action Required:

• Students to supply own yarn – up to 50g of 8ply yarn (recommend lighter coloured yarn, can use leftover yarn)
• Students to supply own needles (suggest 4mm) and cable needle (short double-pointed needle)
