Isager Sock Yarn 50g

Isager Sock Yarn offers both softness and durabillity. The yarn consists of 40% Easy Wash Alpaca, 40% Easy Wash Merino Wool and 20% Recycled Nylon.  

Easy Wash is an environmentally friendly alternative to the standard chlorine process used to render fibres machine washable without shrinkage. It uses eco-friendly oxidants (certified under Reach, Oeko-tex and ZDH (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemical) standards), meaning it does not involve the discharge of hazardous chemicals into the environment.

Twenty percent of the yarn composition is recycled nylon, for the added strength and durability that a sock yarn requires.  This is the first time Isager has used a synthetic fibre in their yarns and so they have opted for a recycled nylon, which is an industrial waste product that normally would go to landfill.
