The top is worked from the bottom up. The front and back are worked separately. The armhole edges are worked in rib with selvedge stitches. Stitches are cast-on at the hem using the Italian cast-on technique and bound off at the neck edge using the Italian bind-off technique. Please note that several things happen simultaneously in the pattern, so read carefully before beginning a section.
